1.What Invitara is
Invitara (“we”, “us”) is a free online service for designing interactive invitation websites, sharing them by link and collecting replies from guests. These terms apply to everyone who uses the website at invitara.app, including hosts who publish invitations and guests who open them.
2.Your invitation and your edit link
When you publish, you receive a private edit link. There is no account and no password: the edit link is the only key to your invitation and its dashboard. Anyone who has it can change the invitation, read replies, post updates or take it offline.
- Keep your edit link private and share it only with people you trust to co-host.
- We cannot tell who is holding an edit link, and we cannot undo changes made with it.
- If you lose the edit link, we may be unable to restore access to the invitation.
3.Your link name
You choose the address of your invitation, such as invitara.app/your-names. Link names are given on a first-come basis while an invitation is live. We may reserve some names, and we may change or remove a link name that impersonates someone, misleads guests or infringes another person’s rights.
4.What you may publish
You are responsible for everything you add to your invitation, including names, text, photos and music. Please do not publish anything that:
- you do not have the right to use, such as photos or music owned by someone else without permission;
- is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or violent;
- impersonates another person or organisation, or invites people to an event that is not real;
- collects money, passwords or payment details from guests, or links to scams or malware.
You keep ownership of your content. You give us permission to store it, display it to anyone with your invitation’s link and process it as needed to run the service, until it is deleted.
5.How long invitations stay online
An invitation stays online until seven days after its last event date. After that it is taken offline and its content, photos and replies are permanently deleted. You can take an invitation offline earlier from your dashboard. Please export any replies you want to keep before the invitation expires. Our privacy policy explains this in more detail.
6.Guests and replies
Guests who reply share their details with the host, not with the public. Hosts agree to use replies only to organise their event and not to add guests to marketing lists or share their details with others without permission.
7.Free service, no charges
Designing, publishing and collecting replies are free. We do not ask for payment details and there is nothing to buy. If that ever changes, we will update these terms and say so clearly before anything is charged, and existing invitations will not be affected.
8.Removing content
We may take down an invitation, or part of it, if it breaks these terms, if we receive a valid legal request, or if it puts guests or the service at risk. Where reasonable, we will explain why by updating the invitation page.
9.Availability and liability
We work hard to keep Invitara running, but we provide it “as is”, without guarantees that it will always be available, error-free or suited to a particular event. Keep important details, such as your guest list, in a copy of your own.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as a guest missing an event because of an incorrect detail, lost replies, or changes made by someone holding your edit link.
10.Changes and governing law
We may update these terms from time to time and will change the date at the top when we do. Continuing to use Invitara after an update means you accept the new terms. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute.
